Albuquerque Chosen As A 2009 Top City!
Thinking of buying a home in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho or another nearby city? According to Kiplinger and US News, that’s a very smart decision! US News ranked Albuquerque number 1 in the country in their 2009 Best Places to Live study. And Kiplinger ranked Albuquerque number 2 in their 2009 Best Cities study.
In selecting the cities for their 2009 top 10 Best Places to Live, US News looked for affordable communities that have strong economies and plenty of fun things to do. They cited our sunny weather (well over 300 days per year of sunshine!), stable economy, beautiful mountain views, 14 area golf courses, and miles of hiking/biking trails as a few reasons for their choice.
Among other factors used in their study of 2009 Best Cities, Kiplinger focused on the large number of high-tech jobs here and ABQ’s focus on jobs in renewable energy and the film industry. They also cited our vibrant arts community as a draw to this great city.
